Name Giving Ceremonies...
Why Name Giving Ceremonies?
Name Giving ceremonies are a
great occasion to celebrate your new baby and to welcome your child into the lives of your family and friends. Name
Giving ceremonies are
conducted by civil celebrants and are an alternative to a baptism or
christening.
Name Giving ceremonies also
provide adults who have officially changed their name the right to publicly
declare their new identity to family and friends.
Name Giving ceremonies do have
a legal requirement and I must sight the original Birth Certificate prior
to the ceremony taking place.
The Naming Certificate would
need to be signed by five (5) witnesses, for example myself, parents, and
guardians.
